ISO P
The isostatic ISO P punch is an innovative system developed out of GAPE DUE’s experience to meet the needs of its clients in the ceramic tile industry. The construction and operating characteristics of GAPE DUE isostatic punches make it possible to obtain pressed products of excellent quality, in terms of geometry, gauge, flatness and absence of transparency effects, while limiting and reducing production costs. The punch consists of a machined and treated insert that allows the creation of an isostatic zone in which the hydraulic fluid operates, thus giving the punch its isostatic effect. Its high compensating capacity is due to the high ratio of isostatic area to punch surface area, which is greater than 80%.
Adjusting the internal hydraulic fluid pressure increases the compensation, which consequently accentuates the deformation of the punch’s structure. The stiffness of the inner sheet, the fact that the compensation is uniformly distributed, and the low punch pressure mean that the surface of the punch itself is flat, and the resulting tiles are not deformed due to the isostatic effect. The ISO P punch has also proven to be very effective in cases where other types of punches are prone to the transparency effect.
